Privacy / Data Use Policy

This page explains what personal data JENECONK collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to teachers, schools, and other users of the platform.

1. Scope

This policy applies to JENECONK lesson-note generation, school-report generation, payment and subscription workflows, school invitations, teacher access, support interactions, and related website or dashboard use.

2. Data we collect

We may collect:

  • name, email address, phone number, and account login details
  • school or organization details, workspace role, and invitation records
  • lesson-note inputs, lesson-note outputs, report inputs, and report outputs
  • payment, subscription, and plan-activation records
  • usage records such as generation attempts, saved lessons, report activity, and error states
  • support messages, feedback records, and operational logs needed to keep the service reliable

3. Why we collect and use data

We use data to:

  • create and manage user accounts and school workspaces
  • generate lesson notes, diagrams, and school reports
  • verify subscriptions, process payments, and manage plan usage
  • provide support, account recovery, and school follow-up
  • monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the service
  • meet legal, accounting, or security obligations where applicable

4. Who can access data

  • individual teachers can access their own workspace content
  • school administrators may access school-level data, teacher management details, and school workspace content according to role
  • authorized operational staff may access data needed for billing, support, abuse prevention, and service maintenance

5. Third-party services and processors

JENECONK may rely on third-party providers to deliver the service, including:

  • Supabase for account, workspace, and application data storage
  • Paystack for payment initiation and verification
  • Anthropic for AI lesson generation where enabled
  • OpenAI for AI diagram generation where enabled

Some lesson or diagram requests may therefore be processed by third-party AI services when those features are used.

6. Retention

We retain data for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, support users, and meet legal or accounting requirements.

  • lesson and report history may remain available until deleted by the user or removed as part of account or workspace cleanup
  • payment and subscription records may be retained longer for audit, accounting, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes
  • operational logs and support records may be retained for reliability, abuse prevention, and follow-up

7. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and platform realities, users may request to:

  • access personal data we hold about them
  • correct inaccurate account information
  • request deletion of personal data or account records, where deletion is legally and operationally possible
  • ask questions about how their data is used

Some records may need to be retained for payment, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal reasons even after an account is closed.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical steps to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or loss of data. No online service can promise absolute security, but we aim to handle data responsibly and restrict access to what is needed for platform operation and support.
